Yeah, already modified it heavily to make it just have that normal-map distortion and not the seizure effect.

Pretty nice effect. I hope it works on Unity free. Thank for sharing ++

Nope, no image effect ever works with Unity Free unless if you find a workaround, which is usually slower and looks worse.

I have a bundle with some shaders which work fine, but I waste my ressources using it - blur, gloss, chromatic aberration...

When I use this GlitchFX, my screen is split and some colors are changed. Nothing to do ++

Not optimized for mobile, so it shouldn't run too fast on old devices. You can always modify the shader and script to remove unwanted effects (such as the screen flip and colors which I found annoying), and that will usually improve performance.

with just 15 minutes of additional work, I was able to make it per object basis. instead of the entire screen.

It looks interesting. Maybe you can do another package for us. I would try it ++

Another package for what? All you do is place the script on a main camera, works on any camera

So as to use this shader on Unity5, you must add a line to fix an error :

using UnityEngine;
using UnityEditor;
using UnityStandardAssets.ImageEffects; // add this line

A simple tip before asking us - "how it works? - I got an error - plz help" :)

All is explained here :
