Make a infinite terrain for a MMO.

Question

Hey, does anyone have an idea how to create a infinite terrain for a MMO game? I found Please login or register to see this link. in the asset store but i dont know if that is the right thing for a MMO.

You cannot possibly create "infinite" terrain. I believe what you're looking for procedurally generated terrain where more terrain is generated when you're near the edge or at a certain distance.

you wouldn't want this for an mom. An MMO should be, a fixed ammount of places. But if the terrain is procedural, than nothing is the same. Which would confuse players.

True, having a fixed place like Runescape or World of Warcraft would be better, but if you have a clever idea with the generated terrain, then go for it. I mean don't be afraid to be unique, if you can make it interesting, then KUDOS! :d
