Well, you'll need to split the mesh in several pieces and then import into unity. Then put the splitted mesh into a scene and you can then probably add rigidbody to each object and make them kinematic. Create a tag named destruction or smth and in the weapon script you call if(hit.transform.tag == "Destruction"){ hit.rigidbody.isKinematic = false; }

 

That works I think.

I'm going to release my destruction kit soon and it'll be much cheaper than the other ones in the Asset Store..
