when the character reloads, he drop's a mag! like in real life! im going to teach you how to do one!

first, open weaponscriptNew.js

next, add these variables!

then, on the reload function, right after this line:

and before:

Please login or register to see this code.

(or in between them)

add the function Dropmag();

then, create a new function called, Dropmag();

and add this line:

now, you have it!!!!

so, lets start.

var timetodrop = the time you wait for the clip to drop. like, if the reloading animation drops the clip at 1 second, the timetodrop should be 1.

var magprefab = the prefab of the mag (the mags mesh)

var droppos = the position the mag drops...

Just saying, that's a video game thing, and it's far from realistic.

Magazines are extremely expensive and you hold around 4 of them in your vest. When your mag is empty, you put it back in a pocket and take out a new one. You don't drop it on the ground unless it's a tactical reload, but even then, after the firefight is over, you are going to go pick up your mag.

Grand Theft Auto V is an exception, because there the character drops a magazine while reloading. (Because there's not enough time to put magazine back in the pocket while police is chasing you)

Thanks for tutorial! But I have one question: Will this work with Realistic FPS Prefab and its weaponscript? (Because Realistic FPS Prefab is not that realistic you except in title...)

Thanks mate. Why 4 year old thread? Because it's best thread I could find.
