UI Advice

Question

Hey guys,

So I really suck at arranging my UI, I need some advice for my main menu. Here is what I currently have: Please login or register to see this link.

I still need to fit in news, browse matches, player profile and a settings page. Any idea how I should arrange all of this?

Thanks :)

So you need:

  1. Friends List
  2. Match Browser (button?)
  3. Player Profile (button?)
  4. News (box?)
  5. Settings (button?)

Yes, but how do I arrange all of these windows? It won't fit in one screen, so I'll prolly use tabs. But I'm asking for ideas of the general UI here

I'll try to give it a shot for you.

Edit:

I think it'd be good to take some design ideas from Overwatch.

Please login or register to see this link. You can't go wrong with a setup something like this (for now)

I can totally see where you're going with this, I like the idea but I feel that it is too simple. Like you said, I can't mess up with the setup (for now). Maybe I shouldn't be putting so much time into the UI set maybe? Thanks :)

That example I put together in PS is just a rough example. Feel free to customize to your heart's desire and of course - don't spend too much time on layout, tho rather concentrate on functionality. You can always go back to UI so long as the functionality is in place :P

That is definitely true lol. The feeling of knowing my game isn't so eye appealing surely does not help me motivate to continue lol. But like you said, functionality is more important. :P
