Low poly furniture modelling ?

Hi guys and girls !

I have a problem with... low poly works.

This type modelling is wrong for low-polygon ? MAYA

I want to make cartoony looking environments but ı don't understand something or...

Why can't make soft edge for low poly or black sections isn't problem or  ı don't understand how to make low poly ?

We using hard surface ? 

Yes ım never make low poly works !!! seriously

What your looking is low poly with standard lighting. Toon low poly and low poly in general is the exact same thing in terms of polygonal structure. What's different is the shader and texturing. Your model itself looks fine

Here is an image of a scene I just started that is like yours, low poly. Here is what it looks like before texturing, shading and effects, and after. I'm not fully going toon in my scene, but more of a plastic toy look but it's all the same. If your wanting to smooth it more, then just bake a normal make, that's really about it

Personally i make cartoony models by using the simplest shape posible.  So in your case just make a cube then add your pic to the cube as a uv map.  Then make a normal map to bring out the detail in your model.  Here is a really quick example. The first pic is just a cube with a pic i found on google, and a normal map. The second is a pic of just the normal map.
