  1. A test scene for 4 famous open world editing tools. https://www.afc82.com/Downloads/Gaia_Test_02.zip Best quality at 1920x1080 (fullHD) because scene uses the "bugged" DOF of postprocessing stack 1.0.
  2. Hey everybody, I've been missing from the community for a while and I have a good reason. I do music production under the alias "Nodfather" and have been doing stuff with that over the past year and a half. I decided to combine my fan base and knowledge of music and the knowledge I have of game development and started this project. Janford County is an open world first person shooter where you work through different fields of the black market to survive. I have released some footage of the project that showcases some features. WARNING: The frame rate looks like dumpster juice because my OBS settings are terrible For anybody interested in joining the testing group you can join that on htttp://www.janfordcounty.com also if anyone needs music in their games and want a sample of my music I am on Spotify and iTunes. Just search Nodfather
  3. Sorry for Bad frame Rate, i'm using a laptop. Music is from the portal 2 OST: Portal2-02-Concentration_Enhancing_Menu_Initialiser Portal2-01-Science_is_Fun Portal2-04-The_Courtesy_Call Most of the assets are place holders, the game is mostly just a concept right now, just wanted some input from you guys. The game saves your health, inventory, location, level and XP. Which transfers through out the scenes. The game not even near a alpha, input would be appreciated. possible multiplayer similar to destiny style with the inventory system.
  4. Hi everyone! I have been on this forum for some time now, trying to help some people out with coding here and there which i like to do! and i will continue to do that ofcourse and besides that i have been working on a project myself aswell. It is called: The Days After. The days after is about the time after the apocalyps, you start out as a lone survivor searching for a community. Once you have found a community you have to search for supplies and rescue other survivors that are in danger or simply seeking a community aswell. Once the community is too big for its current location you will have to relocate the community to a more suitable area, There are many location to choose from all with their own pros and cons. Every survivor has their own set of skills that can be usefull within the community whether it be medical or mechanical skills. Each community location has facilities that can be build and upgraded, from watch towers to farming facilities. The world is full of zombies from slow and weak to armoured soldiers hunting them down is a good way to gather ammunition and weapons, there are alot of different weapons to fight with wether it is melee or ranged. We want to develop this game with the help of the community, meaning that we will take all suggestions and feedback in consideration. We want to decrease the distance between the developers and the community so that the game when its done has features and gameplay people wanted! I hope we can get all of your support for our project and keep the feedback coming we appreciate every single one of them! Facebook Twitter IndieDB Here are some screenshots: Thank you for reading.
  5. These guys have just started making this new game, not very realistic but still looks like fun, It could be something big if they keep working on it but hell it looks like fun. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xCh2EFee0_A Check it out when you can
  6. Basically for my open world survival game, I have a huge map and a big open world... my only problem is I have the zombies all ready and everything, AI is great. I just need a way to spawn them randomly all over the open world. I don't really care how hard it'd be to do, I just want some suggestions on the best way ( with as little lag as possible ) to spawn them around the world. Should I have it spawn a random amount then stop for a certain time? Will I have to drag game objects and spawn points all over the world? What do you guys think? Anything is helpful. Thanks!
  7. Yeah so basically i'm in the process of making a HUGE terrain for my survival horror game "The Vengeful Dead". And I was wondering from you guys, the awesome community on here what tips/suggestions you had for me that could be of assistance. What would you guys want from a open world zombie fps? Original idea or not, what is it?
  8. ALIVE FOR TODAY OPEN-WORLD SURVIVAL MMOFPS PC, MAC, LINUX, WEBPLAYER Alive For Today, is a post-apocalyptic open-world survival MMO. The main location will be set in a a desert with very little supplies and even less water. Survival is the main feature of this game, we aim to be as realistic as possible. We plan to introduce multiple locations, with varying weather and climate systems including the arctic mountains of Alaska, the tropical jungles of Brazil, the deserted plains of Ireland, and many more. Our goal is to produce a high-quality terrain that measures a total of 2000x2000 kilometers. This will give us enough room to introduce vehicles including Helicopters, Cars, Trucks, ATV's and more but it will also allow us to bring mounts into the game such as Horses and more. All of our terrain is created using World Machine 2.3, TerrainComposer and WorldComposer. We will be using multiple environment packs created by Manufactura K4, which can be found on the Unity asset store. A wide variety of weapons including melee, assault, and more will be introduced to the game as well. Our server stretch goal will be successfully handling up to 300 players at a time per server. PVP will be a huge, core feature of this game and it can drastically change the way the game is played. Originally we were going to develop Alive For Today in the United States, set in Washington State because of it's dense forest, and heavy precipitation. Zombie were going to be the main antagonist in the game but we have decided to pull them from the goal, well not completely. After of lot of thinking, I decided to leave zombies in the game as an option for server owners. They can enable zombies, and disable them. Each time you change this however it requires a server restart (As an attempt to stop future trolling). Stay tuned for more news about Alive For Today coming soon and remember to check out our developer page for information on how to apply for our team, we need all he help we can get so don't be shy! Project can be found on IndieDB: http://www.indiedb.com/games/alive-for-today Thanks, KING. (CEO & Founder, Project Lead) (EVERYTHING IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE) (ALL IMAGES POSTED ARE FROM PURCHASED ASSETS THAT WE OWN THE LICENSES TO) WE ARE RECRUITING Now accepting applications to join our development team! We would like to get around 2-3 people for each position so don't be shy, go ahead and apply! Currently we are looking for the following positions to fill: -3D Modeler(s) -UI Designer -Texture Artist(s) -Terrain Designer -Programmer(s) -Composer -Writer Feel free to apply for any other positions as well, does not have to be listed above for you to apply for it. You can apply by submitting your application to: DBNStudios@outlook.com
