  3. Hi guys! A few months ago me and a few of my buddies started to make this mobile game. It is one of those endless run type of game. However in this game you just don't swipe left, right , up and down to progress. There is also a class-based character system. Every character we meet on our storyline which have separate abilities that are better than each other in specific occasions. In this game, we play as a viking named "Magni" and help him to retrieve the king's sword from the giants.(Yes, it is a story-driven game ) Unfortunately, we couldn't complete the game, yet. Hello, I'm a beginner in scripting & unity and i'm currently facing some difficulties in a learning project i'm working on : - The first one : what's the best way to keep the total amount of collected coins during game : I mean even if the player plays so many times the same level or closes the application, i'd like a way to find the total collected coins so that i can use this informations when scripting a shoping scene - The second issue: right now, when i don't react in my game ( i don't anything ) the screen unlights and then the phone get locked in few seconds. I'd like to force the screen to be active as long as the game is running even if the player is not reacting. How can i implement that ? Thanks a lot,

About Me I would like to share with you a project that I have been working on for the past two years. As with all of us here who are passionate about gaming I wanted to create my own game ever since I started playing games. The idea of creating your own worlds and experiences that others interact with has always fascinated me. The only problem is that I do not know how to write a single line of code. But with the help of accessible engines such as Unity and a lot of research (Google, YouTube, Forums, Unity Docs, Asset Store) I was able to make this happen. There were dark times where I wanted to give up when I was unable to solve a bug or make something work the way I wanted it to work and there were those “aha!” moments that provided such a surge of excitement and motivation. It was difficult starting out as many laughed at the prospects of me making a game and looking at what other developers and professionals are making with those amazing looking games had admittedly affected my confidence knowing that I will not able to compete or my game won’t be good enough. In addition with life throwing those challenging moments that we all have to deal with at some point only added to the struggles. But with a lot of self-motivation I was able to continue and finish my project. I do have a full time job so I worked on this in the evenings and weekends. Yes I did have to sacrifice playing the latest games or watching movies and other things but the drive to complete it was far more thrilling and engaging. So Cubemetry Wars is a chaotic and fast paced arcade game where you survive endless waves that test your skills. It offers classic arcade gameplay that has been inspired by one of my favourite series Geometry Wars. I do not wish to bore you with a wall of text but if you have any questions please feel free to ask! I hope you enjoy playing the same way I enjoyed making it.   11. Hi ! I'm currently creating some kind of social networking app for mlobile. Everything is working fine except when loading something from the database (using WWW). When I load something from it I'm getting some kind of spike of CPU... The problem is that for this kind of app, I really need to load a lot from the database. Does anyone have any tips to optimize the way I could get infos from the database ? So I've been working on a game with a friend for like 2 weeks, and we've made a huge progress through our best efforts. we are only two people my friend ( the programmer ) and me ( the rest ). we hope to release it on mobiles and PC/MAC within next 3 months. The game is a 2.5D platformer with no name yet, The game is in early development stage. We have our scene first models done, Mechanics done, 2 AIs are game ready and others are WIP along with the GUI. I am handling the art side of the project and I need some help with level designing. Artstyle of the Project : We are looking for a level designer to speed up the development . Hello everyone, It's been a long time since i posted something here but i finally had some free time to start working on a new game, first gameplay footage can be seen in this youtube video, i hope you like it. For the now the gameplay mechanic are probably all done, but am facing a serious problem related to mobile game design, the player finger hides an important part of the screen and that will really hurt the game experience, once i figure out a solution for that issue, i will start designing more levels and hopefully this time the project won't die like the others lol UPDATE: so apparently am condemned to always work on dead games lol i think this game can't be played on mobile and am not sure i can keep working on it because i have no idea on how to make profit from browser games, maybe i will start working on it again when HTML5 deployment is available in unity (publicly), or if i find some free time i'll try to port it to Phaser.   24. Hi guys! In the last two months I spent some of my free time learning mobile 2D development in unity. I started just with a draft project to understand the basics and see what can be done, but then I thought that maybe worth spend some more time and make it better to publish. I have some more ideas to add and design to improve. But with University projects and so I won't have time to improve it for a while and decided to publish it as it is and add the other ideas later. This way, maybe with the reviews I can improve it along time. I made everything by myself since game logic, menus, server side to receive user levels, to sprites design and sfx (wich took me more time than I thought, and aren't finish yet xD). Only the musics aren't mine, which one of them is from a Unity 2D Tutorial. It's a casual bricks breaker game(for android). I will appreciate some feedback to what can be improved/changed from anyone of you who wants to try. P.s: It's my first game.   25. Hi all, I've finally finished my first 3d game which is a slender like horror game. You have to run around looking for 6 keys to unlock one of the multiple doors. Its got like 36 span points for the player and 36 for the npc and surprise 36 for the keys. So its kind of random. I am extremely open to suggestion.
