  2. Hey guys. I've tried a few things to fix this but nothing seems to work. I added it so you can switch the players view from first person to 3rd person. but the problem is that the 3rd person camera goes through walls. Any way to fix that? thanks -Stuart

  5. Hey guys! Im trying to make a radio like object in my game. I want it so when I walk up to my "Radio" Object I can press "E" It will play the song. And when I press "E" Again it stops playing the song. I looked it up on Google but couldn't find much on how to do it. Im not the best Coder. So I don't know what to do. I would appreciate it if you guys could help me. Or send me a link to a video or a web page on how to do it. Thanks -Stuart
  6. I'm trying to implement hearing sound for my game's AI. I've tried a few different things but they're mostly way too costly on performance to even consider using. The system I'm testing at the moment is when you fire a weapon you make a sound. I go about this by calling function MakeSound() I've tried this. It's supposed to find all gameobjects with the tag "Enemy" and store them in an array. function MakeSound() { var stuff : GameObject[]; stuff = GameObject.FindGameObjectsWithTag("Enemy"); stuff.SendMessageUpwards("HearSound", SendMessageOptions.DontRequireReceiver); } The problem with this is that I get an error when I sendMessage to the array (I assumed that it would sendMessage to each object individually but I guess I was wrong) I've also tried this and it actually works, but it's very performance heavy and makes the game unplayable. function MakeSound() { var soundPosition = transform.position; var soundRadius = 30; var colliders : Collider[] = Physics.OverlapSphere (soundPosition, soundRadius); for (var hit in colliders) { hit.collider.SendMessageUpwards("HearSound", SendMessageOptions.DontRequireReceiver); } } Here's the function that the AI uses to hear if it matters at all function HearSound() { Alert = true; hasSeenTarget = true; print("compromised") } Is there a better way of doing this?

  8. I'm having trouble finding a good explanation on how to use an array(yes I've searched google). I'm trying to make an NPC find all game objects in a scene with a tag, store all these gameobjects in an array and only target the closest gameobject to the NPC. Also is there a better way of doing this? An array explanation would still be good just in case I ever want to use it if this is the case
  9. Everytime i open unity and build game, he import all assets in 1hr and i cant stop it. This happened when i change player options in build game settings. I try for fun to build in Flashplayer my game and this happened. Can anyone help me? Im exploding.
