  2. Introduction As a side project, I am currently working on a top down shooter kit (for games like zombie/survival waves, team deathmatch, counter strike), that will look professional compared and compatable on mobile devices, including a lot of advanced features (AI, map editor) that can be implemented easily. Im not showcasing this kit yet, but maybe some betas can be tested if requested. Most kits are hard to use and difficult for beginners (most unity users that use kits are beginners), and thus this user friendly kit should contain custom inspectors, and documentation. But I need some advice on features, and opinions. I also need a catchy name. Thanks guys. The Roadmap Progress - Multithreading for tile management - Added a HUD supporting 2 weapons icons, health with ammo bar (Minimap is also added but not shown) - More tile paint brushes including box fill (think magic wand from minecraft => massive time saver) - You can now hide the tile picker to save space Finally introduced entities as a counterpart to tiles (are also serialized just as tiles in .map files) - Game Lobby has been set up with working chat - As you can see this is the player in action (ammo had a weird bug) - Progression has been made on the AI. MORE PROGRESS IS POSTED FURTHER INTO THE TOPIC
  3. Hello, As you can see from the title I'm using the AU Fps kit 1.5 and I have a problem with aiming down sights. I've imported and animated a pistol to the unity and when I start the game aiming looks like this: http://postimg.org/image/87mashs0l/ and after i reload the gun it looks like this http://postimg.org/image/3jqr1c9yp/ I checked all the animations and they seems to be fine. I didn't add any scripts that may change the position of the gun.
  4. Hey! Basically, I am looking into creating a game in which you are a champion / hero and you have four abilities. The first, is going to buff your champion and give him 10 more attack damage for 5 seconds with a 10 second cooldown. I am using Javascript, and tried to achieve this by writing this code - var ChampionInformation : ChampionInformation; var countDownTimer = 0; var cooldown = 10; var CountDownText : GUIText; function Start () { ChampionInformation = gameObject.GetComponent("ChampionInformation"); } function Update () { CountDownText.text = "" + countDownTimer; if(countDownTimer <= cooldown && countDownTimer >= 0) { CountDownOne(); } if(Input.GetKeyDown("space") && countDownTimer <= 0) { AddDamage(); } } function AddDamage () { countDownTimer = countDownTimer + cooldown; ChampionInformation.AttackDamage = ChampionInformation.AttackDamage + 10; yield WaitForSeconds(5); ChampionInformation.AttackDamage = ChampionInformation.AttackDamage - 10; } function CountDownOne () { countDownTimer = countDownTimer - 1; yield WaitForSeconds(1); } This kind of works - The champion gets 10 more attack damage and this is displayed. However, I can rapidly press space and the champion keeps getting attack damage that decays over time. This is because the cooldown system isn't working. Can anybody help me? Thanks. -Gabz // Virex (Depends how you know me)
